Art Basel Miami Beach
This year’s edition of Art Basel Miami Beach will feature 257 leading international
galleries, with work ranging from the Modern period of the early 20th century to the
most contemporary. Application numbers have again been high, exceeding those
for 2011, with more than 680 galleries competing to participate. Taking place at the
Miami Beach Convention Center from December 6 to December 9, 2012, the show,
whose main sponsor is UBS, will present a geographically diverse selection of
galleries from 31 countries across five continents." www.artbasel.com
As 2012 quickly approaches its close, I am growing more and more excited. Art Basel Miami Beach is gearing up to be one of the most spectacular and inspirational art shows yet. Showcasing artists and works from around the globe, it is the country's biggest art event. This will mark my first year in attendance, although those in the art, music and fashion world have told me nothing but great things. I can't wait.
